Maths Week Activities
Maths week had a bad start, thanks to Hurricane Ophelia, but lots of activities were carried out today.
School is buzzing with fun maths activities!
Year 4 had fun using dice to add and subtract in their quest to get 3 numbers in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). They had to decide whether it was best to add or subtract, and had to bear in mind that their partner needed to be blocked, as well as them finding their '3 in a row'. This was quite an easy activity, but we made it harder by introducing 3 dice. Two had to be added, and one subtracted (unless 3 small numbers were thrown). This proved to be much more of a challenge.
Lewis has been very excited by being partnered with Miss Mitchell, and beating her 4 games to 1!
